Findes der mange forskellige typer af sushiris?

SushirisSushi ris er ikke bare sushi ris.
I Danmark er udvalget af sush iris i supermarkeder ikke så stort. Hvis du besøger en asiatiske forretning kan du finde op til 4 forskellige slags sushi ris af forskellige kvaliteter.

Japanske sushi ris er en anelse kortere end sushi ris der er dyrket i USA, Kina eller Korea. Japanske sushi ris er ca. 1 mm kortere end andre rissorter til gengæld er der ingen forskel på smagen.

Der findes enkelte japanske sushi rissorter såsom Haruka ris, som er væsentlig sværere at koge til sushi, da de klistre mere end andre sorter.

Selvom du har fulgt vejledningen til punkt og prikke kan du opleve, at risen danner klumper efter eddikemarinaden er blandet med risen, og risen er afkølet.

De klumper der dannes er helt normalt for den type rissort, det giver bare nogle flere udfordringer når du skal lave sushi.
