Er sushi dyrt i Japan?

Jeg er kommet i Japan siden 2004. Igennem årene har jeg spist rigtig meget sushi. Det er lige fra hverdags sushi til sushi som serveres på Michelin restauranter.

I mine øjne er sushi ikke dyrt i Japan.
Her kigger jeg på den kvalitet du får for pengene. Uanset om du køber hverdagssushi eller gourmetsushi i Japan, så er det billigt sammenlignet med sushi restauranter i Danmark.

Det er der flere årsager til.
I Japan betales kun 8% i moms på restaurantbesøg og take-away mad. Det i sig selv er en ret stor besparelse. Det kan især mærkes, hvis man ofte tager ud og spiser.

Konkurrencen blandt restauranter er meget stor.
Ligesom i Danmark ønsker, restauratører at have fyldt restauranter alle ugens åbningsdage. Udover at sikre, at maden har en høj kvalitet og at gæster er glade. Så er der mange restauranter som holder et prisniveau, hvor deres kunder har råd til at komme og spise.
